About Tulip

The earliest ancient works in which the role of Tulip (Laleh) is seen are the barrels of cylindrical shapes, the seals, more than 4000 years ago derived from the Elamite civilization in Iran. Also the bronze stones and rocks from Afghanistan, dating from 4000 years back. Since the Greeks dominated Balkh (a Persian City today a city in Afghanistan) in the second to third centuries BC, the role of Hercules with a tulip bunch of flowers on the head of the head remained on the crochet. [45] During the Sassanid era, in the 5th and 3rd century BC, the role of tulip in silver utensils and seals, it is depicted with three petals, but in the works of the Sassanid’s 6-5, the number of petals of the tulip rose to five. One of the most important historical monuments in the 7th century AD. At the top of the great arch of this ancient work, tulip flowers have been carved with 5 petals.

After the invasion of Persia by Arabs and spreading of Islam in Iran, love and interest in this flower among the people of Iran continue to be seen more than any other country. For more klick here

The Origin of Tulips in the Netherlands

The origin of the tulip’s popularity can be traced back in the late 16th early 17th centuries. After merchants from the Ottoman Empire introduced the tulip to the Dutch from the in the mid-1500s, the flower became popular because it tolerated the region’s harsh climate conditions. The Netherlands became a prime location for growers and sellers of the seeds and bulbs. Over time, the tulip became a luxury item to own and grow, its rarity and quality leading to increased demand. This demand for tulips benefited the Dutch East India Company, which at one point generated a profit of 400% on the tulips alone.

Tulipmania to Market Crash

Toward the mid-17th century, the tulip became the Netherlands’ fourth largest export. It was around this time as well that greenhouses began to appear in the region, the early versions used to grow the valuable flowers all year round. During a subsequent market crash, the tulip lost much of its value but the years spent cultivating the flower left the country with a horticultural skill set that farmers repurposed for growing crops. It wasn’t until after World War II that the tulip started to rise in popularity, making it far more affordable for the average person. With this turn of events, farmers shifted back to cultivating the flowers, and the Netherlands became a large worldwide exporter of tulips.

Tulips Grown Without Soil

Tulips can be cultivated using hydroponics, a method whereby plants grow without soil in a nutrient-enriched solution that does not require the use of chemicals. Growing the resilient tulip this way uses less heat and fewer resources, making it easier to produce every year and enabling growers to meet an increased demand for the flower. The tulip’s popularity has led the Dutch to build some of the largest greenhouses in the world, as they constantly seek ways of increasing the yield using the fewest amount of resources while at the same time minimizing the effect on the environment.

DUTCH ROSES

Dutch Rose is considered one of the best varieties of Roses because of its extremely soft petals and strong fragrance. We offer Fresh Dutch Rose to clients located in different parts of the globe. The Netherlands is a major trade hub for flowers and the most important point of entry for cut roses from developing countries. The Dutch flower auction is a fairly accessible marketplace. The auction and the Dutch traders offer a sophisticated trade network to the whole of Europe and beyond.

Export and logistics

Dutch Trade Office and it's business desks will manage all the services regarding export and freight from the Netherlands to your destination, by ground, ship, and air.

The rose (Rosa) is a woody perennial plant of the genus Rosa in the Rosaceae family. Standard-cut roses vary in size (large and intermediate Hybrid Tea, and smaller Sweetheart roses), in color (from white to red and combinations), in fragrance and other attributes. Most commercial cut roses carry one bud per stem; Floribunda or spray roses carry more buds per stem but are commonly regarded as garden flowers. Most species are native to Asia, with some native to Europe. After harvest (in bud), roses are stored and transported under cooling conditions until sale at the retail level. Roses are mostly sold as mono bunches or used in bouquets and other flower arrangements. Some exquisite varieties are sold as single flowers.
